Do you realize what you say? Think before you say things.

So many people I know have kept this degrading phrase in their vocabulary and I can’t help but think less of them for it. As much as I try to tell people off, they just don’t seem to understand. Why can’t people just grow up.

I been pestering my friends to stop this for years- “its a habit”.
Break it.

Word. I remember during our Discussion Leader Class, we had a LGBT speaker that taught us ways to make people more careful of how they use this term.

best friends just know

“Forreal. Haha you do know me too well. Sometimes I think you know me better than I know myself :P
    Thank you. for everything.
just want you to know that i appreciate everythng. and i dont tell you enough”
it’s hard to find friends who are true blue. and i’m lucky to have found one. You’ll be my one and only, forever and ever, until i find my prince charming of course. but we’ll be friends forever until the world explodes and we’ll be those old ladies at olive garden, laughing the night away. i love my dear moose =)

there’s this boy…

I met him today. He’s six years old, and I met him in the pediatric intensive care unit.  He made me laugh and I could not stop smiling. He was easy to talk to, a real charmer.  Time passed so quickly when I was with him. We spent the afternoon playing video games, connect 4, chutes and ladders, dominos, and jenga.  It was so much fun and I totally forgot about everything else that was in my head.  I felt like I was being my crazy self.  He thought we were so fun and cool.

His mom asked us, “Why are you volunteering? Is it required for school or something?” I answered, “just for fun.” In retrospect, I guess I could have said, “because it looks good on med school apps” or something.  But the first thing that came to my mind was “just for fun.” That makes me really happy because I finally know what I want to do with my life.

I know I’ll probably never see that little boy again, but it’s times like this that make me want to pursue a career in pediatrics.  and what’s even better is sharing this experience with my best friend. =)

one day…

it’ll feel good and right
